Keyword research
Up to 500 keyword ideas per search with volume, difficulty, intent, and trends. Modes, tags, export, and bulk scoring for what to target next.
Keyword research takes a seed and turns it into related ideas you can actually decide on. You get monthly volume, difficulty on a 0-100 scale, CPC, paid competition, intent, and a 12-month trend.
One research run returns up to 500 ideas (result limits 150 / 300 / 500). You pick a mode, a country (100+), and optionally clickstream-refined volumes. If you already have a list, bulk-score up to 700 known keywords. Save what you keep, tag it, export it, and hand it to the agent, Opportunities, or Rank Tracker.

What you can do
| Capability | What it means |
|---|---|
| Seed → ideas | Start from a seed; max 500 ideas per research run (150 / 300 / 500 limits) |
| Four modes | Auto, related, suggestions, ideas |
| Country + language | Target 100+ countries and set language |
| Clickstream volumes | Optional clickstream-refined volume estimates |
| Bulk score | Score up to 700 known keywords you already care about |
| Project library | Save keywords into the project |
| Tags | Up to 20 tags for organization |
| Export | CSV or Sheets |
What you see for every keyword
| Metric | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Monthly volume | How often people search that term (for the location you chose) |
| Difficulty (0-100) | How hard organic ranking tends to be for that term |
| CPC | What paid search tends to pay per click |
| Paid competition | How competitive the paid landscape looks |
| Intent | What the searcher is usually trying to do |
| 12-month trend | Whether interest has been rising, flat, or fading |
Use difficulty to stay honest about effort. CPC and paid competition add commercial weight when volume alone is soft. The trend keeps you from pouring energy into a dying query.
Research modes
Four modes. Same metrics. Different paths into the list.
Auto when you want the product to choose a sensible path from your seed and you do not want to overthink the first pass.
Related when you already have a solid seed and want terms that sit next to it in the same neighborhood. Good for expanding a topic you already own without wandering off into a new category.
Suggestions when you want the broader suggestion-style expansion around a seed. Useful when you are still shaping the cluster and need more raw material than a tight related set.
Ideas when you want a wider idea set from the seed. That is the mode for "show me more I might not have typed myself," then you cut hard with difficulty, intent, and your business fit.
If you already know the keywords and only need scores, skip ideation and bulk-score up to 700. If you need live SERP context on winners, pair research with SERP analysis (/docs/serp-analysis). Competitor angle: competitor research (/docs/competitor-research).
How the agent uses your keywords
The agent does not need you to paste a giant dump into chat every time. Saved keywords, tags, and scores give it a shortlist it can work from: what looks worth a page, what looks too hard right now, what fits the project, what should go to Opportunities or Rank Tracker next.
Ask it things like what to target next for a page, which saved terms look like better bets, or how a list should split across content vs tracking. Large lists are fine; the point is a ranked shortlist, not staring at hundreds of rows alone.
More on that workflow: the agent (/docs/the-agent), Opportunities (/docs/opportunities), Rank tracking (/docs/rank-tracking).
Saving and organizing
Save keepers into the project library. Tag with up to 20 tags so you can filter by theme, page type, or campaign without rebuilding the research.
Export CSV or Sheets when you need a shareable sheet or offline sort. From there, push the ones you care about into Rank Tracker so volume and difficulty stay next to tracking, not stranded in a sheet.
Costs and caching
Keyword research is paid. You see cost before you run it.
Results cache for 24 hours, so a free re-run of the same research in that window does not charge you again. Viewing keywords you already saved is free.
