Opportunities

One scored list of winnable work from rankings, competitor gaps, and AI prompts.

Opportunities in EZ SEOS is one prioritized list, scored 0 to 100, that answers "what should I work on next?" It fuses three sources of winnable work into a single ranking: your own near-miss rankings, keywords your competitors hold that you do not, and AI prompts that cite rivals instead of you. Each score is demand times winnability, so the top of the list is where effort pays off fastest. Product overview: opportunities (/features/opportunities).

What feeds the list

Three lanes contribute to the same ranked list, each scored on the same 0 to 100 scale so they are directly comparable. Lanes fail independently, so if one errors the list still fills from the others.

  • Striking distance: your real Search Console queries ranking 11 to 20 with meaningful impressions and low CTR, the wins closest to page one. The strongest of these carry a quick-win flag.
  • Competitor keyword gaps: keywords your top competitors rank for and you do not, each with volume, difficulty, intent, CPC, competition level, whether volume is rising or declining, the competitor's ranking page, and estimated traffic at stake.
  • AI-prompt gaps: prompts where AI answers cite competitors but not you, with the prompt, its estimated monthly AI search volume, which competitors are cited, and the exact cited pages you would need to displace.

How the scoring stays honest

The score is demand times winnability, computed per lane on a shared scale, so a striking-distance keyword and an AI-prompt gap can sit next to each other and mean the same thing. If your analytics is connected, pages that already engage visitors get boosted, and this only ever boosts. Nothing gets penalized for lacking engagement data.

Branded queries are excluded by default so the list reflects new reach rather than demand you already own, and a toggle brings them back when you want them.

How the agent uses opportunities for you

When you ask the agent what to work on, it prioritizes the Do Next visibility queue first, then uses this Opportunities list (and CTR/GEO tools) to explain and contextualize work. Do Next lives in the Visibility Engine loop on GEO (/docs/geo). Agent behavior: the agent (/docs/the-agent).

It can also filter the list to your business. Ask it to "Contextualize my opportunities so I only see keywords I actually sell," and it reads your project's business context and, in one click, drops the terms that are off-topic for what you offer. That turns a broad ranking into a shortlist you can act on the same day.

Opportunities is not the only prioritization surface

CTR face-offs are a separate diagnosis path on CTR gaps (/docs/ctr-gaps). Do Next unifies rank, gaps, CTR, AI citations, and technical work on GEO (/docs/geo). Search Truth (/docs/search-truth) helps when estimate-backed gaps should be checked against real GSC demand. Nearby: keyword research (/docs/keyword-research), competitor research (/docs/competitor-research).

Costs and caching

Opportunities results are cached for 12 hours, so re-opening the list within that window is free. Building the list draws on data the platform already gathers about your rankings, your competitors, and AI prompts, and the cost of any underlying paid lookup is always shown before it runs.
